			<description><![CDATA[ Anyone ever heard of the Town of Scandia?  I have the Ghost towns of UT book, and its listed in the back with un-researched ghost towns.  Its supposed to be somewhere in Box Elder County, between the Salt Lake and the NV border.  I thought it might be fun to try and track it down.  Thats a big area and I'd like help narrowing it down.<br><br>Does anyone have any info on it? 			<description><![CDATA[ Does anyone know of any good Ghost Towns in Southeastern Idaho?  I'm looking for ones in the Twin Falls to Pocatello area, and south.  I'm especially interested in any in Cassia county, south of Burley.  A lot of old trails to Oregon &amp; California went through there, so you'd think there'd be some old towns.  The Black Pine Gold mine is in that area too, So I'd also be interested in old mining towns or camps.<br><br>thanks ]]></description>

Two very fine arastras have been located very near Peavine some 40 miles north of Tonapah. I have been able to see some of the mines that the Spaniards worked based out of Las Vegas. The area is rich in gold and silver. There are several main trails leading to and from this area. 			<description><![CDATA[ Has any one heard a story of a man that was up in the Colorado Mountains....Doing whatever, Elk hunting, Dear hunting, Etc... and came across a town that was deep in the forest, well hidden, even from the air. He claims it appeared to be a late 1800's to early 1900's town and appeared as if everyone just walked away from it and left every thing as it was. He said it was complete with Church with tower and bell, saloon looking building, houses stores and such and that it had a fence all around... ]]></description>
