			<description><![CDATA[ I was hiking up above mapleton today and found this. it looks like the door to an old oven, my first thought would be a smelter, but i dont want to jump to any
conclusions. there were a bunch of rocks in the area and it was flat, a few metal bands on the ground that look like a rim to old wooden wheels or something
that would hold a barrel together. any ideas of what this is, or how old it is. there is a design of a sort of star in the middle and it appears to fold down.

			<description><![CDATA[ Is this an old spanish mine? It&#39;s certainly not hard to get to, and has seen it&#39;s share of teenager parties and bonfires. I spotted what I believed was
a mine on the side of the mountain, and decided to hike to it one day. On the hike up, I came across a large smelter made out of mud and stone. The mine is a
steep hike above that. You can go in the mine a little ways before it&#39;s caved in. Just curious if this has a name, or if it&#39;s even an old mine at

search for anything. A family member of mine overheard me talking with another family member, and gave me an old document he had been given back in the
&#39;80s. It appears to be a partnership agreement/offering from Gale Rhoades. It goes into some detail about locations of seven different mines. Interesting,

States.  Did anyone else out there attend the seminar?  I was told that there was room for 600 people and it was sold out (I don&#39;t think that there was 600
myself but there was quite a few)
